These are not your normal water bottles! These carboys are hydrophobic, which means they repel water, and make for easy cleaning. Care of these plastic carboys is different than glass carboys, you cannot clean them with a brush, instead you fill them with warm water and one of our percarbonate type cleaners, PWB, Straight A or One Step. Then let them soak off the organic material that has accumulated on the inside.

This bung has a flap to allow gas to escape your fermenter, but the flap is closed otherwise to prevent air back in the fermenter. Great for long term sealing a fermenter when an airlock would dry out.

Keep your yeast happy and your ferment warm during those cold winter months with this flexible heater. Using tape to adhere this flexible heating wrap can be attached directly to your fermenter or can be used to heat the space in a box (or refrigerator) that the fermenter is in. Depending on your configuration and insulation you can increase the temperature of your ferment from 5-20 degrees Fahrenheit. If using carboy or bucket you can attach directly using tape (as seen in photo above.) We recommend electrical tape as it sticks and unsticks the easiest.
